Trace every important claim.

Every published claim should be traceable to evidence appropriate for that claim. SportyPulses uses different source types for official facts, original reporting and explanatory background, and it preserves public links for source-backed articles.

Source hierarchy

For scores, schedules, rules and formal decisions, we prefer competition organizers, governing bodies, leagues, teams and official records. For reported events and quotations, we prefer the publisher that performed the original reporting. Direct athlete or team statements can establish what that person or organization said, but interested parties are not treated as neutral proof of every surrounding claim.

Global discovery

The research queue rotates through configured sports topics, countries and languages. Google News RSS supplies candidate headlines and source names. This stage answers “what may be worth researching?” It does not answer “what is true?” Google ranking, a snippet or repeated syndication never replaces reading the source material.

SearXNG source collection

SearXNG locates original publisher and official pages; each page is fetched and reduced to readable text for the evidence set. Social networks, video platforms, reference pages, search pages and other weak source classes are excluded from article evidence. One result per publisher domain is retained by default so syndication cannot masquerade as independent corroboration.

Minimum evidence and overlap

A candidate must have at least three independent publisher sources before generation. Source URL overlap with already published articles is checked to reduce duplicate synthesis. Quantity alone does not make evidence reliable; relevance, source proximity, agreement and usable depth still matter.

Translation and multilingual discovery

Discovery can begin with non-English markets, but the current public article output is English. A translated or summarized statement should retain the meaning supported by the source. When language, access or ambiguity prevents a reliable interpretation, the candidate should remain unpublished rather than being filled with general knowledge.

Attribution on public pages

The Wire names the external publisher and links out. Original SportyPulses articles show the source names and URLs used for factual grounding. Inclusion means the page formed part of the evidence; it does not mean every source endorses the final synthesis or SportyPulses.

Freshness, conflict and corrections

Publishing dates and visible update dates help readers judge freshness. If reliable sources disagree, the article should describe the conflict. If a later official record changes a material fact, the article may be updated or corrected under the corrections policy. Readers can challenge a source choice through the contact page.

Limits of the method

No automated search tool guarantees complete coverage, and a passed model check does not make an article infallible. Paywalls, deleted pages, syndication, translation and upstream errors can limit the evidence. That is why SportyPulses combines source requirements, separate verification, public attribution and a correction route instead of presenting automation as certainty.
