This notice explains the information processed when you visit SportyPulses, use its interactive features or subscribe to the Pulse Brief. SportyPulses acts as the controller for information collected directly through this site. Third-party services control the information they collect under their own notices.
Information you provide
If you subscribe, we store the email address you submit. Poll votes store the selected answer with an irreversible security hash derived from the network address so one device cannot repeatedly distort the result. Messages sent by email contain whatever contact information and evidence you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
The site uses a short-lived essential session cookie to protect forms and the admin login. Server logs can record the requested page, date, response status, network address, browser identifier and referring page for security, reliability and abuse prevention. “My Pulse” choices are stored locally in your browser and are not attached to a SportyPulses account.
Analytics and badges
SportyPulses uses Statcounter to understand aggregate visits and page use. The Statcounter script may receive device, browser, network, referring-page and visited-page information and may use cookies according to its configuration. A BYOViral badge is also loaded from byoviral.com; like any remote resource, it can receive the visitor’s network address, browser information and the page requesting it. Review the providers’ own privacy information before using features they control.
Google advertising
SportyPulses contains the Google AdSense site script and may display Google advertising after account approval and consent configuration. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, limit, measure and personalize ads. Google explains this processing in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
Consent in regulated regions
Where Google requires it for advertising in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, SportyPulses must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Non-essential advertising or analytics choices should follow the consent signal available in that region. The presence of a script tag does not override your consent rights.
Why we use information
- To deliver requested newsletters and remember a subscription status.
- To protect forms, prevent duplicate voting, secure the service and diagnose failures.
- To understand aggregate audience use and improve navigation, performance and content.
- To display and measure advertising where permitted and configured.
- To answer correction, privacy, rights, advertising and accessibility messages.
Retention and sharing
We keep subscriber information until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to any limited record needed to honor that request. Logs, vote hashes and operational records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and service integrity. Information can be processed by hosting, email, analytics, advertising and badge providers acting under their own terms or service arrangements. We do not sell a subscriber list.
Your choices and rights
You can clear local preferences and cookies in your browser, decline non-essential consent where the consent interface is available, use advertising opt-out controls, or unsubscribe from email. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing and to complain to a data-protection authority.
Contact
Email [email protected] with the address involved and the request you want us to act on. Do not send passwords, API keys or unnecessary identity documents. For technology-specific detail, read the cookie policy.
How advertising cookies may be used
Disclosure reviewed July 17, 2026
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to SportyPulses or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve, limit, measure and—where consent and law permit—personalize advertising.
Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. Other advertising vendors or networks may provide their own controls; industry opt-out information is also available from YourAdChoices. SportyPulses does not sell its newsletter subscriber list.
Your request has a direct route.
